1. How long will the starters play?

John Harbaugh said he will weigh the risk of injury against giving his Giants starters valuable game reps implementing a new system. Jaxson Dart being drilled by a sack in the first game reminded how perilous that choice is. Harbaugh didn’t play many starters his last two preseason finales in Baltimore, but this is a young team. If they play, don’t expect a long leash. If they don’t, they won't see any more game action until the opener on Sept. 13.

2. Who makes a final push for a roster spot?

Last week, it was lineman J.C Davis who made a case for a roster spot with his strong play at left tackle. Who will it be this week? Tight end Thomas Fidone and inside linebacker Darius Muasau could use a strong outing. Of course, receiver Odell Beckham Jr. could use a strong day to help solidify a spot with Calvin Austin III moved to injured reserve.

3. How will the cornerback and running back rotations play out?

The running back snap count will be worth watching to see any glimpses of the pecking order. If Najee Harris gets carries Friday, will it be before or after Tyrone Tracy Jr.? That will tell even more if Tracy’s been forgiven or he’s losing ground to Harris and Singletary. The same goes for the cornerbacks, since Paulson Adebo, Colton Hood, Deonte Banks and Greg Newsome all will be healthy for a game for the first time this preseason.
