Vanessa Prado says Halloween “has always been kind of an obsession, even now that I’m in college,” as it pertains to costumes.
She adds that her mom, Peggy, is the same way and has always been good at putting together outfits, which explains the Throwback Thursday pic Prado sent out Thursday.
Throwback Thursday, a popular social media theme where people post pictures and video from their past, is especially interesting when Halloween falls on a Thursday. And Prado didn’t disappoint with a photo of her as the “wicked witch of Long Island,” although at 5 years old, the Bellmore native didn’t exactly look too scary.
At 5 her family moved to the Philippines, where they stayed for two years before settling in Wayne, N.J. Prado, 19, still has friends and family in the Babylon area, and now has to don makeup all the time for the career she’s pursuing. The University of Oklahoma Gaylord College of Mass Communications junior is a news anchor for campus TV show “OU Nightly.”
Take a look at her on the air in the YouTube video below and see her all grown up.
