Thursday Gridiron Guide: Take Seattle in battle of the bad
EAGLES (4-7) at SEAHAWKS (4-7), 8:20 p.m.
TV: NFL.
Radio: WFAN (660).
Eagles by 3; O/U: 43
Think the executives at the NFL Network want a mulligan here? This one is a pretty tough sell. I'm imagining the NFL Network's Rich Eisen trying to inject some excitement into this game when he says, "A pair of 4-7 teams trying to keep their faint playoff hopes alive." People, realistically only eight NFC teams have a shot at the playoffs, and these two aren't in that group. The Eagles again will be without Michael Vick. In the last nine games, Philly is 3-6 ATS while Seattle is 6-2-1. THE PICK: Seahawks
RONIS' FANTASY TAKE: Eagles TE Brent Celek has 29 catches and at least 53 yards receiving the last five games and is a Top 10 TE this week. Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch has scored a TD in seven consecutive games and is a must-start. Seahawks WR Sidney Rice is out for the year, which should benefit WR Doug Baldwin because the Eagles struggle against slot receivers.
Roderick Boone: Seahawks
Bob Glauber: Eagles
Tom Rock: Eagles
