With winter officially coming to an end in less than two weeks, here's a chance to spring ahead -- especially when it comes to your computer skills.

SeniorNet, the not-for-profit organization focused on helping people 50 and older learn and master new technology, has a free open house at its Huntington headquarters to unveil courses for the spring semester, which begins April 2. The open house is Friday 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

If you don't want to commit to a semester, SeniorNet is holding a free seminar March 20 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at Harborfields Public Library in Greenlawn on how to create photo books using your digital pictures and the popular Shutterfly website.

For more information about any of SeniorNet's offerings, call 631-427-3700, ext. 268, or go to seniornetli.org.
