Senior catcher had nine hits in 13 at-bats, including four homers and nine RBIs in three wins. He hit a school-record three homers in a win over Valley Stream Central.

Matt Vogel | Patchogue-Medford | baseball

Sophomore righty threw a three-hit shutout in a 2-0 win over Longwood. He struck out 10. He improved to 4-0.

Joe Policastro | Hauppauge | baseball

Policastro scattered five hits in six innings and went 4-for-4 in the Eagles' 6-1 win over Eastport-South Manor.

Courtney Blake | East Islip | softball

She tossed three consecutive shutouts against Comsewogue, North Babylon and Half Hollow Hills East, allowing a total of five hits. She was 3-for-4 with a home run in a 14-0 win over Comsewogue.

Nicole Milano | Oceanside | softball

Her two-out single drove in the winning run in a 4-3 extra-inning win over Hicksville to clinch the Nassau Conference AA-II title.

Joanna Sugar | Oyster Bay | softball

Hit a walk-off two-run double in a 16-15 win over East Rockaway.

Tom Moore | West Islip | boys lacrosse

The junior attack scored the winner, his third of the game, on an assist from Drew Federico with 1:21 left in overtime in the Lions' 8-7 win over Smithtown West. The Lions have won 34 straight games.

Tim Rotanz | Shoreham-Wading River | boys lacrosse

The sophomore attack scored the winner, his fourth of the game, with 1:24 left in an 11-10 win over Huntington.

Sal Geneva | Hicksville | boys lacrosse

The senior attack scored off a feed from Joey Leonard, his third of the game, with 1:46 left in overtime in the Comets' 8-7 win at Massapequa.

Paula Schmidt | Wantagh | girls lacrosse

She totaled 19 points in two wins last week, including a seven-goal, five-assist explosion on Monday.

Courtney Murphy | Floyd | girls lacrosse

Had 11 goals in two games last week, including the winner in the Colonials' 12-11 victory over West Babylon.

Bridget Vilbig | Island Trees | girls lacrosse

The junior had a career-high 10 goals and five assists in the Bulldogs' 27-18 win over Mepham on Monday.

Justin Wilson | Floral Park | track

He cleared 6-10 in the high jump at the Nassau Coaches Invitational last Saturday.

Ieshawn Johnson | Baldwin | track

Johnson threw a school- and career-best 182 feet in the discus at the Nassau Coaches Invitational.
