He scored three goals as No. 5 West Islip upset top-seeded Smithtown, 8-7, in a Suffolk Class A semifinal. Bovich's third goal made the score 8-6 with 5:46 left to play.
JAMIE BUTALEWICZ
Sachem East, softball
Tossed a one-hit shutout in a 3-0 win over No. 4 Connetquot. Held top-seeded West Islip to one run in a 16-1 victory. She allowed only three hits in nine innings in a 1-0 loss to No. 4 Hills West.
ROSE CIPOLETTI
Half Hollow Hills West, softball
Hit a walk-off three-run homer in a 3-0 quarterfinal win over Commack. Knocked in the winning run in the 10th inning of a 1-0 semifinal win over Sachem East.
LINDSAY DARRELL
West Islip, lacrosse
She scored the winner with eight seconds left in a Suffolk Class A quarterfinal in a 9-8 win over West Babylon, and the winner with a second remaining in the semifinals in a 12-11 over Middle Country.

Miller Place, lacrosse
He made eight of his 16 saves in the fourth quarter to lead the Panthers over Comsewogue in a Suffolk Class B semifinal.
ROB PACCIONE
Commack, baseball
He had two RBIs and pitched 41/3 innings of scoreless relief to keep Commack's playoff hopes alive, as it defeated Kings Park, 4-2, in the Suffolk Class AA losers' bracket semifinal.
MARCOS PERIVOLARIS
Mattituck, baseball
Perivolaris hit a tying single in the bottom of the seventh inning and then made a winning slide home on a single to right, barely beating the tag, as Mattituck scored five runs in the inning to take Game 1 of the Suffolk Class B final over Center Moriches. In Game 3, he pitched a four-hitter in the 1-0 win over Center Moriches.

Division, baseball
Varela hit a game-winning single in the sixth to drive in Joe Piscitelli, putting his team ahead in the eventual 7-4 win over Seaford in Game 1 of the Nassau Class A semifinals. He hit a sacrifice fly to break a tie at 2 and won it in a deciding Game 2.
