Each of the four top seeds in Suffolk won their opening playoff games Wednesday to advance to the semifinals.

Connetquot-Sayville, Smithtown and Kings Park-Commack each dominated their games as the top three seeds, but it took double overtime for fourth-seeded Half Hollow Hills to knock off fifth-seeded Sachem, 3-2.

Eric Steinberg scored the game-winner for Hills off a faceoff in the offensive zone with 1:00 left in overtime. Daylin Frantin and Bryce Dailey also scored for Hills, and Frantin added an assist to finish with a team-high two points. Erick Santiago had two goals and Chris Haun had two assists for Sachem in the loss.

“We were pretty excited," Hills coach Brian Statfeld said. "It was great for the kids. To experience something like that is pretty spectacular.”

The semifinals begin tonight, with Connetquot-Sayville taking on Hills and Smithtown battling Kings Park-Commack.
