Newsday's Erin Geismar is on day three of our series, Town Focus: A Week in Sayville.

Tuesday, she got a free health screening inside a bus run by St. Francis Hospital’s Community Outreach Program, got a history lesson on the 250-year-old community (full story to come later Wednesday) and met more interesting people along the way.

Wednesday, Geismar will report on the efforts of three Sayville elementary schools that raised $53,000 to benefit the American Heart Association and meeting with the Sayville Public Library.

Make sure to follow her day on her @eringeismar, or send her an email with suggestions on what else she could cover this week.
