Amityville Village Hall

We've hit midweek in Amityville, and there's still so much more of the community to see.

Yesterday I spent most of the afternoon at the William T. Lauder Museum, meeting the museum and Amityville Historical Society staff.

Later today, look for the interviews with the people I met there (including William T. Lauder himself), who each had rich and personal stories to share about their time in Amityville.
And while I was there, my fellow community journalist, Brittany Wait, was in the village talking to shop owners. Look for those interviews posted here, as well.

As for today, I'm headed to the Amityville Public Library to meet with director Nora Schaul, Village Hall to meet Mayor Peter Imbert, and to the Amityville Artists Circle gallery to see what the local artists have been up to.

As always, send your suggestions -- and even just your own thoughts or memories about the community -- to me in the comment section, by email or Twitter; and follow along below.
