Today, I will continue my week in Sea Cliff. I’ll be walking the streets, peeking into businesses, speaking with locals and visitors, all the while getting a feel for the needs of the community and the village’s history.

This morning, I’m checking out the Stenson Memorial Library’s “Story Hour” at Sea Cliff Beach, which usually attracts 50 to 60 children for storytelling.

In the afternoon, I’ll be putting together a video and story on Sea Cliff’s history.

Later in the day, I’m checking out Sea Cliff Fire Department’s “Cruise Night,” which runs from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the corner of Sea Cliff and Main avenues. The event welcomes pre-1987 vehicles, including hot rods, customs and muscle cars.

The rest of the week, stay tuned for a look into the history of the village’s fire department, which has been in service since 1884, more profiles and a sunset serenade, among other things.

So far, your suggestions gave me some great ideas on where to eat.

On Tuesday, I ate lunch at Arata’s Deli. I ordered the Merengue wrap with Cajun grilled chicken, grilled honey ham with lettuce and tomato. I substituted the blue cheese dressing with honey mustard. Delish!

I apologize, I still need to catch up on all the suggestions I have already received. Suggestions for the rest of the week are still welcome.

At every step along the way, I welcome your input. Tell me what you think of the coverage, what you would like me to find out and where I should go. You can reach me via email, Twitter and the comments below.

Also, keep up with my travels via Storify.
