We continue our week in Levittown with a look at local business today and more interviews with lifelong residents, including the perspective of one 24-year-old who came back from college and became active in his hometown.

I’ve been asking residents I meet to steer me toward a local gem, whether a long-running business or a favorite spot in town. If you have a suggestion, send it my way and maybe I’ll highlight it.

I’ll take a look at some of the original and not-so-original Levitt homes today on a walking tour of the community, recommended to visitors at the Levittown Historical Society Museum. Follow me on Twitter for photos and comments from the walk.

I’m also headed to the Wantagh Levittown Volunteer Ambulance Corps tonight to meet with a member there who has a long history in the community.

Later this week, look for a full story on Levittown’s history, find out what local students are up to and read more from the residents. Keep in touch with via email or the comments section below.
