The Town of Babylon's Earth Day celebration this Saturday will feature an environmental science scholarship award ceremony for sixth-graders, an inflatable bouncing tent for children and booths with information on conservation and "green" technology for adults.

The scholarships are sponsored by the Babylon Covanta EcoTech energy company, which operates an incinerator in West Babylon. A $1,000 check will be awarded for first place, with smaller amounts awarded to 11 other winners.

The event runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Town Hall Pond, 200 East Sunrise Hwy. in Lindenhurst.
