Town stops mailing agendas to save money
Every little bit counts when it comes to the Brookhaven Town budget.
To save money and trees, the town will stop mailing copies of its town planning board agendas to a list of about 120 civic organizations and other interested parties, the board decided at last Thursday’s work session.
Instead, the agendas for the biweekly meetings will be emailed starting in January.
The move will save the town about $2,000 a year.
“To save $2,000 in the budget, it’s a no-brainer,” Councilman Steve Fiore-Rosenfeld said.
