The Lynbrook High School orchestra participated in a workshop Friday with Mark Wood, an electric violinist with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

The workshop, part of Wood's "Electrify Your Strings" program, prepared the students for a concert Saturday night at the school featuring the music they learned and practiced with Wood on Friday. The students enjoyed the experience of learning a more contemporary way to play classical music.

Wood, a Long Island native, said that teaching kids is what he enjoys the most. Check out the video feature above for more.
