BREAKING NEWS: By popular demand, Stephen Joseph Haynes has been renamed Stevie Lanes Haynes. You spoke. We listened. Well...you didn't so much speak. But you were thinking it.

This needs to be cross-posted in a million different places, because it's just THAT humiliating.

The Newsday Underblog Staff: Laura (hi!), Stephen, Cody and Kaela decided to take on Suffolk Champion Middle Country girls bowling. A team that is awesome. And came in second at states, I believe. Against a team that isn't a team. Cody was on JV Bowling once upon a time. He was the only one not to get called up to the varsity. Make of that what you will.

So, without further ado, us getting our butts handed to us.

It's worth a look, if only to find out what happens to the art geek on the school newspaper when s/he grows up. Answer: Still a dork.

Oh. And you get to see Middle Country be really, really good.

Btw, if any of you are reading out there and would like us to do something else humiliating and high school sports related, email us, comment, whatever. Clearly, we have no sense of self-preservation/remaining shred of pride.
