VOTING
7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Corona Avenue Firehouse and William L. Buck, Brooklyn Avenue and Robert W. Carbonaro elementary schools.
THE BUDGET
The district is proposing a budget of $26,617,552 for the 2010-11 school year, an increase of 1.75 percent over the current budget of $26,159,973. The tax levy would be $18,681,912, a decrease of 0.08 percent from the current figure of $18,697,804.
The average homeowner with a house assessed at $363,600 would pay $2,722 in school taxes, a decrease of 0.04 percent from the current figure of $2,723.
The proposed budget also includes estimated increases in contracted teacher salaries subject to negotiations later this year. There are no proposed reductions in district staff, programs or services.

THE CANDIDATES
Incumbents Anthony Iadevaio, Frank Nuara and Lawrence Trogel are running unopposed for seats with three-year terms.
