VIDEO: Pol helps wife of 9/11 volunteer gain citizenship
Rep. Steve Israel has helped the wife of a Sept. 11 volunteer inch a step closer to gaining U.S. citizenship.
"This is a guy who risked his life and sacrificed his lungs to help rescue workers at Ground Zero," Israel said. I've never heard of a denial of citizenship based on lack of oxygen and that's what this would have amounted to."
