The Levittown Community Council is looking for volunteers for its 6th Annual Earth Day Clean Up on Sunday.
The event will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. in various areas in the neighborhood. Participants will meet at the OfficeMax parking lot located on Hempstead Turnpike next to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
Workers will be assigned in groups to a location. Workers are asked to bring rakes, brooms and work gloves. The town will supply garbage bags.
Honor society students, Key Club members and anyone in need of community service time are welcome to participate. Scouts, sports teams and other organizations are invited as well.
