WALK's all-holiday Launch Day, April 1

Even though Friday is April Fools' Day, WALK/97.5 FM is dead serious about changing its format. Figuring listeners are tired of nonstop replays of Katy Perry's "California Gurls," Bruno Mars' "Just the Way You Are" and countless other Top 40 hits, the station today will kick off an All Holiday Music format, says WALK vice president and general manager Jim Condron. So starting today, get into the holiday spirit a little early with as the station plays "Jingle Bell Rock," "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer," "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" and more Christmas chestnuts 24/7.
