The September call-ups have started to be summoned to the major leagues and fantasy owners are searching for that player to boost them in the final month. Unfortunately, there isn't anyone that will have a major impact.

Many of the top prospects have already been called up. Yankees catcher Jesus Montero is finally in the majors and is expected to see at-bats against lefthanders and could be added in deeper mixed leagues that start two catchers. It doesn't look as bright for Reds catcher Devin Mesoraco. The Reds plan to take things slowly with him and the presence of Ramon Hernandez and Ryan Hanigan make Mesoraco's outlook dim.

If you need help off the waiver wire, here are some good options.

Dayan Viciedo (White Sox, 3B): Carlos Quentin is still out with an injury and Adam Dunn deserves to be on the bench. That will allow Viciedo to get some playing time at various positions. He's 7-for-13 (. 538) with one home run, four RBIs, four runs and one stolen base since being called up. He had 20 home runs and 78 RBIs at Triple-A.

Jason Motte (Cardinals, RP): Motte is in line to get save opportunities. He has not allowed an earned run since June 23. Since the All-Star break, Motte has pitched 20 1/3 scoreless innings with just eight hits allowed and a 14/2 K/BB ratio.

David Murphy (Rangers, OF): Nelson Cruz has made his annual trip to the disabled list again. Murphy will get more playing time and has taken advantage. Murphy is 10-for-23 with two home runs, nine RBIs, five runs and two stolen bases in his last six games.

Stephen Strasburg (Nationals, SP): He's set to make his first start in the majors on Tuesday since undergoing Tommy John surgery. He allowed one hit in six scoreless innings in his final rehab start. In 20 1/3 innings, he had a 29/3 K/BB ratio during his rehab starts.

Rod Barajas (Dodgers, C): He is very streaky, but always supplies power. In August, he batted .357 with six home runs, 19 RBIs and nine runs.

Cliff Pennington (Athletics, SS): He was awful before the All-Star break. Since then he's been one of the better shortstops with a .347 average, three home runs, 25 RBIs, 11 doubles, 23 runs, six stolen bases, and a .905 OPS.

Rafael Betancourt (Rockies, RP): It was assumed Huston Street would regain the closer job. Instead, Betancourt is keeping it. Since the All-Star break, Betancourt has four saves, a 0.47 ERA and 0.37 WHIP. In 19 innings, he has allowed just two hits with a 29/1 K/BB ratio. For the season, it is 63/8.

R.A. Dickey (Mets, SP): Don't let the six wins deceive. Dickey has pitched well. He has a 3.57 ERA and 1.26 WHIP and since the All-Star break, he has a 3.49 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, and a 37/9 K/BB ratio in 59 1/3 innings.
