Wantagh defeated Kings Park, 9-2, in the Long Island Class A championship. Wantagh will play in the state semifinals on Saturday in Binghamton. Matt Dybus went the distance and allowed five hits, walked one and struck out five. Ryan Sliwak hit a three-run triple to give Wantagh a 4-2 lead. Matt Benedetto went 2-for-4 with an RBI, Kyle Ambury went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and Kevin Cohen went 3-for-4.
