We know Long Island produces some of the best talent in the girls lacrosse world, but it's not a bad idea to toss out some evidence every once in awhile.

Check out Bayport's Loren Generi and Sayville's Jasmine DePompeo, who are having breakout years for Navy, currently atop the Patriot League standings.

Coming into this week, DePompeo is currently ranked third in the country with 63 total points and is on the Tewaaraton Award Watch List (going to the best male and female NCAA lacrosse player in the nation).

Generi, meanwhile, is the Patriot League rookie of the week for the third time this season. Going into this week, the freshman attack is currently ranked first in the nation in total draw controls (85), second in draws per game (6.07) and sixth in total goals (40). (Check her out above in her Bayport-Blue Point days.)
