A cold front pushed offshore Sunday morning, passing over New England. The weather system will keep Long Island mostly dry Sunday with the high temperature around 60 degrees, but could bring gusts up to 25 to 35 mph, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures were expected to hover around 60 degrees Monday, with highs expected to warm up to about 70 degrees on Tuesday.

There is a slight chance of showers Wednesday. Cooler daytime temperatures could dip into the low 50s by Thursday and on Halloween Friday.

Overnight lows will reach into the 30s and upper 40s in some communities, forecasters said.
