A dense fog advisory in effect through 10 a.m. Sunday on Long Island has been canceled, according to the National Weather Service.
Visibility, which at one point was less than a quarter mile has improved to 3 to 4 miles as the fog has lifted, meteorologists at the Upton station said.
The reduced visibilities, the weather service said, made "driving dangerous at times."
