There's a hint of rain in the air, but otherwise Thursday is expected to be another warm November day across Long Island.

The National Weather Service forecast calls for highs in the upper 60s with a mix of sun and clouds.

News 12 Long Island meteorologist Rich Hoffman said spotty showers are likely in the early evening hours.

During the day the warm temperatures continue, Hoffman said, with highs "within a few degrees" of the daily record high of 70 set 2005.

Cloudy skies and fog move in Thursday night with the chance of rain at 30 percent. Overnight lows are 55 to 60 degrees, giving way to morning fog on Friday.

Hoffman said there's a good chance of a daily record high Friday, when temperatures flirt with 70 degrees; the service's Upton office said the daily mark is 68 degrees in 1994.

Winds increase on Friday, shifting south-southwest up to 15 mph.

Overnight, there's a chance again of showers with lows from 55 to 60 degrees.
