A couple of chances for snow are on the horizon for the coming days.

The good news is that the particulars as to precise timing and amounts are hard to come by because the systems are weak and likely to produce just flurries or an inch or so of snow, if that, said Lauren Nash, weather service meteorologist based in Upton. That's based on indications from Friday morning's computer models.

The first chance - just 20 percent - is Saturday after noontime and again Saturday night, the service said.

The chance of precipitation is 40 percent for Sunday, with flurries expected, at the most, Nash said.

Monday sees a 30 percent chance, and, again, "nothing significant" is expected, Nash said, just an inch or two if that.

Look for high temperatures just at freezing or slightly below, the weather service said.

While the details of some systems can be fairly well pinpointed two days in advance, these are "weaker systems and it's harder to hone in on what's going on," she said.
