Icy roads as snow begins falling across LI
Icy roads were creating treacherous conditions for drivers Saturday night as snow began falling across Long Island, officials said.
Meteorologists said accumulations up to 2 inches were possible overnight.
On Sunday, another inch of snow is expected, with the high temperature forecast to reach just 32 degrees and the wind chill to drop as low as 21, according to the National Weather Service official forecast.
On Sunday night, temperatures will dip into the low 20s with a wind chill as low as 10, meteorologists said.
The National Weather Service urged motorists to use caution on the roads.
