LI just 1 degree from record high Tuesday

Last week it was record rain. Tuesday it nearly was a record high temperature.
The mercury reached 70 degrees Tuesday at Long Island MacArthur Airport in Islip. The April 6 record high is 71 degrees, set in 1991. Central Park yesterday hit 77 degrees.
