Skies over Long Island should be mostly sunny Friday, the first of three days of “glorious” weather on the last weekend of August, forecasters said.

Temperatures should reach into the high 70s Friday with light north winds, forecasters said.

Both Saturday and Sunday should be sunny with temperatures in the mid-70s, the weather service said.

“It’s going to be a glorious Friday, Saturday and Sunday,” News 12 Long Island meteorologist Rich Hoffman said.

Nighttime lows for the weekend will be in the high 50s, the weather service said.

Looking ahead to next week, skies should be sunny or mostly sunny through midweek with temperatures in the mid-70s, the weather service said.
