The start of Long Island’s workweek calls for sunny skies and daily highs in the mid-50s, the National Weather Service said.

North winds on Monday are from about 10 to 15 mph, the service’s Upton office said.

News 12 Long Island meteorologist Rich Hoffman said conditions Monday will be breezy.

“Nice and mild for Election Day,” Hoffman said. “Some wet weather on Wednesday and cold for the weekend.

Conditions Monday night are cold and clear with overnight lows ranging from 32 to 39 degrees, Hoffman said.

The normal overnight low for this time of year is about 39 degrees, he said.

Expect some patchy frost giving way to a mild Tuesday.

Daily highs range from 57 to 62, Hoffman said.
