Wednesday shapes up as another sunny, warmer-than-normal November day on Long Island, the National Weather Service said.
The service's Upton office calls for clear skies and daily highs in the mid 60s.
Also, light and variable winds at 5 to 7 mph are expected to shift to the east after the morning hours.
News 12 Long Island meteorologist Rich Hoffman said temperatures will remain warmer than normal through Saturday and a daily record high is possible on Friday. (The record high for Nov. 6 is 68 degrees, set in 1994.)
"There is a chance of wet weather late Thursday and into Friday," Hoffman said, "but any wet weather will be light and spotty."
Later on Wednesday, clouds move in and overnight fog could develop and linger through Thursday morning.
Overnight lows will be in the 50s, about 12 to 14 degrees above normal, Hoffman said.
Spotty showers are possible Thursday afternoon, Hoffman said. Daily highs again are in the mid 60s with light winds from the south-southwest.
