Long Islanders spending Saturday outdoors should expect breezy temperatures and isolated showers throughout the day, according to the National Weather Service in Upton.

Saturday's forecast calls for temperatures peaking at a high of about 70, but with wind gusts up to 30 mph, said meteorologist Bill Goodman in the service's Upton office.

Temperatures will drop overnight into upper 40s and showers are possible, Goodman said.

Sunday's forecast calls for cloudy skies with isolated showers possible and temperatures in the mid-50s, he said.
