A fairly overcast Tuesday is expected to give way to a Wednesday bringing mostly sunny skies, with high temperatures of around 80 degrees, the National Weather Service said Tuesday afternoon.
In fact, “a stretch of dry weather along with a good deal of sunshine is expected for the midweek,” the service said in its regional weather summary.
For Long Island, that also means more of the same on Thursday, just a degree or so warmer, with winds from the southeast.
