Long Island weather: Light rain, fog, flood advisory canceled

The National Weather Service is calling for periods of light rain and patchy fog Monday night and Tuesday.
But it canceled a coastal flood advisory for Long Island's South Shore Monday evening.
"The chance for showers will gradually diminish into Tuesday afternoon as the low pressure system moves east of the area. This will also be accompanied by a cold frontal passage pushing through from west to east," the weather service said in its regional summary Monday afternoon.
High temperatures Tuesday will be in middle 60s and a "dry and cool air mass moves in" for Wednesday when there will be sunny skies and the temperature will approach the 70 degree mark.
Forecasters are calling for clear conditions Thursday, though there remains a chance of showers Friday and Saturday.
