Long Island weather: After highs in 70s, cooler temps Wednesday

Tuesday reached at least 77 degrees at Long Island MacArthur Airport, but Long Islanders can expect cooler temperatures Wednesday, forecasters say.
Highs in the low 60s are expected for the next several says, according to the National Weather Service.
Winds were picking up Tuesday afternoon, gusting to 33 mph, coming from the southwest, as of 3:25 p.m. at the airport.
The next round of rain is expected to arrive Friday morning, and there is a 40 percent chance of showers going into the weekend on Saturday and a 30 percent of showers on Sunday, the weather service said.
