Autumn officially starts Wednesday but there is one last weekend of summer and — for weather — it should be a good one on Long Island.

The National Weather Service on Friday evening was predicting Saturday will be partly sunny with a high near 82, while a north wind blows at 6 to 8 mph. Despite the good weather, there will still be a high rip current risk through Saturday evening at South Shore beaches.

Saturday night before 11 p.m. there will be a 20% of showers but mostly cloudy skies will become mostly clear, according to the weather service. The low temperature is expected to be about 64 degrees.

Sunday should be sunny with a high near 78 degrees.

Monday and Tuesday are both expected to be sunny with highs in the mid 70s, while Wednesday and Thursday both have a 40% chance of showers with a high of 77 degrees on Wednesday and a high near 70 on Thursday.

Friday will be sunny with high of about 70 degrees, the weather service said.
