Rain is in the picture Friday night into Saturday, with a marginal risk for severe weather, forecasters say.

That means any severe thunderstorms could bring strong wind gusts, as well as isolated weak tornadoes, the National Weather Service said late Friday afternoon in a briefing.

Long Island was expected to see 1 to 1.5 inches of rain, and any locally heavy precipitation could lead to urban and poor-drainage flooding, the weather service said.

There is also a slight risk for flash flooding through Saturday morning.

A wind advisory is in effect from late morning Saturday to early evening, with expectations for winds from the west of 15 to 25 mph, gusting up to 50 mph.

Rain is forecast to taper off early Saturday, which will see afternoon temperatures in the mid-50s.

Sunday is expected to be dry, with sunny skies and temperatures in the mid-50s.
