Weather on Long Island will be warm and clear on Saturday and continue through Sunday, before a chance of showers arrives next week, according to the National Weather Service.

On Saturday, temperatures will reach near 62, the weather service said, before dropping to 44 by night. The winds, west and northwest on the Island, will reach between 3 to 10 mph.

Come Sunday, temperatures will reach 63, the weather service said.

"Rain-free conditions continue through the daytime hours of Sunday, but clouds start to increase late in the day," the weather service said.

Showers are possible — a 40% chance — after 2 a.m. Monday and the chance of rain continues through the day. Highs are expected to be near 57, the weather service said.

There should be a break in the rain Tuesday, which is expected to be cloudy with highs near 60 degrees.

Showers could return Tuesday night and continue into Wednesday, when highs in the upper 60s are predicted.

Thursday is expected to be partly sunny, with highs in the mid-60s, the weather service said.
