National Weather Service: Sunny on Saturday but rain coming

The beautiful autumn weather should continue on Long Island on Saturday but rain is expected to arrive Sunday and continue at times through Wednesday.
Friday night will feature clear skies and a low temperature of around 48 degrees.
Saturday on the Island will be sunny with a high temperature near 65 degrees as calm wind shifts to out of the south at about 6 mph in the afternoon, the National Weather Service said Friday evening. The normal high temperature for Oct. 22 in Islip is 62 degrees.
High pressure will strengthen over the area through Saturday and will begin to give way to approaching low pressure from the south Saturday night, according to the weather service.
Saturday night will see increasing clouds and a low temperature of around 52 degrees.

Sunday showers are likely, mainly after 2 p.m. The high temperature will be about 64 degrees and the chance of precipitation is listed as 70%.
The start of the new workweek Monday has a 50% chance of showers and while Tuesday will be partly sunny, Tuesday night has a chance of showers, as does Wednesday.
Partly sunny skies are forecast for both Thursday and Friday.
Daytime high temperatures during the workweek will be in the high 60s, the weather service said.
