The Long Island workweek closes with cool, breezy conditions, the National Weather Service said.

Daily highs Friday will be in the low 60s under mostly sunny skies with a brisk north wind at 8 to 13 mph, the service’s Upton office said.

News 12 Long Island meteorologist Rich Hoffman said Friday starts “a near-10 weekend — dry and sunny, perfect for outdoor events.”

Winds subside a bit overnight, when lows dip close to 40 degrees, Hoffman said. Patches of frost are possible in portions of eastern Long Island, he said.

Saturday has mostly sunny skies with highs ranging from 60 to 65 degrees.

Sunday is slightly warmer, pushing to 70 degrees, under mostly sunny skies.

But Hoffman said clouds increase late in the day with a slight chance of showers to start Monday morning.
