The recent unseasonably warm weather on Long Island has been experiencing over the last few days looks to continue until Tuesday.

The National Weather Service on Friday evening said that Saturday will have patchy fog before 10 a.m. but otherwise will be partly sunny with a high temperature near 70 degrees, which would be 13 degrees above the normal Nov. 5 high and match the date's record high set in 1975 in Islip,

Saturday should also have a south wind of about 10 mph.

Saturday night is expected to be mostly cloudy with patchy fog after 2 a.m. The temperature is expected to fall to about 60 degrees.

Sunday will be mostly cloudy with a high again near 70 degrees, according to the weather service.

Monday, the start of the new workweek, is predicted to be mostly sunny with a high temperature near 71 degrees.

It is only on Tuesday that more seasonable temperatures will return. The weather service said the high will be only about 60 degrees under sunny skies.

Wednesday is expected to be even a little cooler: The high temperature is predicted to be just around 56 degrees on a sunny day.
