The fair weather Long Island has been enjoying the last few days should continue through Sunday but Sunday night, and Monday’s Halloween, both will have a chance of showers, forecasters said.

The National Weather Service said Friday evening that Saturday will be sunny with a high temperature near 59 degrees and a northeast wind of around 8 mph.

Saturday night should be mostly clear with a low temperature of about 43 degrees.

Sunday is expected to be mostly sunny with a high near 62 degrees but Sunday night into early Monday morning there is a 20% chance of light rain after 2 a.m.

On Monday, Halloween, trick-or-treaters will face a 30% chance of rain after 2 p.m., but at least it should be relatively warm. The high temperature is expected to be about 66 degrees. The normal high for the date in Islip is just 59 degrees.

Tuesday also has a 30% chance of rain while Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will be mostly sunny to sunny, the weather service said. The high temperatures for each day from Tuesday to Friday are expected to be in the mid 60s.
