Long Island weather: Temps in 80s Saturday, chance of storms at night

Pack an umbrella if you're planning to brave one of Long Island's last remaining fireworks shows Saturday night.
An approaching cold front Saturday will bring the threat of isolated strong to severe thunderstorms from the midafternoon through early evening, according to forecasters with the Upton-based National Weather Service.
The forecast calls for temperatures in the low 80s with the potential of strong to damaging wind gusts and flash flooding, the Weather Service said in an advisory Friday evening.
Forecasters said a moderate risk of rip currents will develop Saturday afternoon.
The front pushes southeast of the area Saturday night, ushering in slightly cooler and drier air for Sunday when temperatures will climb into the low to mid-80s.
Sunny skies are predicted from Monday to Wednesday, with the temperature remaining in the low to mid-80s, according to the weather service.
