Clouds and a slight chance of rain are in the Long Island forecast for the rest of Sunday through the day Tuesday before a 60% chance of showers in the evening, according to the National Weather Service.

The low Sunday evening will dip to about 60 degrees to go along with a 20% chance of light rain. The Monday forecast calls for a high near 70 and another slight chance of rain after 2 p.m., the weather service said.

The high Tuesday will climb to 74 but otherwise, more clouds and a 60% chance of rain after dark.

On Wednesday, the temperature is forecast to jump to 84 with showers likely along with possible thunderstorms.

The sun returns in time for Juneteenth celebrations Thursday with a 30% chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. The high Thursday should top out at 93 Thursday with an evening low of 68.

Dry conditions are forecast Friday and Saturday with a high near 84, dipping to the mid 60s both evenings, according to the weather service.
