Monday is the only day of the workweek without a chance of a rain showers in the forecast, according to the National Weather Service.

Rain showers are in the forecast for Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, according to the weather service forecast, based on readings mid-island. The chance of precipitation ranges from 30% Tuesday and Friday to 50% on Thursday

While there will be a respite for Saturday from the forecast showers, they are expected to return Sunday.

Monday on Long Island will be partly sunny, with a high temperature of 81 degrees and a northwest wind of 5 to 8 mph, then mostly cloudy at night, a low around 69 degrees, the weather service said Sunday evening.

The week’s high temperatures are expected to be in the low to mid 80s through the weekend.
