This week should prove a welcome relief from the cold, high winds and snow showers of the last one, forecasters said.

Sunshine and warm temperatures are expected through Wednesday, the National Weather Service said, and returning Friday.

Monday night, expect clear skies and a low of just 37 degrees — significant warmer than recent nights.

Tuesday looks to be mostly sunny with a high of 58 degrees, the weather service said, and a low of just 39. Wednesday will feature abundant sunshine again and a high of about 61 and a low of 41.

There's a 20% chance of rain Wednesday night and that ramps up to 40% Thursday. But temperatures will still stay mild Thursday — a high of about 59 degrees and a low of 44 before a clear, sunny Friday with a high of 68 degrees, forecasters said.

The weekend, however, is predicted to have 40% to 50% chance of rain Saturday, clearing up Sunday, the weather service said, with a high of 55.
