Overnight gusts across Long Island will make if feel well below the predicted low of about 20 degrees, with more chilly weather Tuesday but plenty of sunshine, according to the National Weather Service.

Gusts are forecasts through early Tuesday that could top out at 18 mph and make it feel closer to between 10 and 15 before sunrise, the weather service said.

After that, it will be mostly sunny with a high about 40, forecasters said, and a low in the 20s. It is expected to be the only day this week without possible precipitation, according to the forecast.

Wednesday brings a chance of rain and sleet, in the afternoon and a high of 45 while Thursday's high is expected to be about 60 with on and off rain that could last through Friday.

Friday's high is forecast to be 60, with weekend highs are in the 50s, forecasters said, but while Saturday should be sunny, there could be rain on Sunday.
