Monday's relatively cool temperatures and drizzle won't last, forecasters say, as the rest of the work week will feature the return of sunshine and high heat.

Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday are forecast to bring highs of close to 90 degress while Thursday's predicted high is in the low 90s.

Tuesday may start out with some isolated showers and fog, with a possible thunderstorm in the late afternoon but otherwise it should be mostly sunny, according to the National Weather Service.

Wednesday and Thursday will also be sunny, with highs of 88 and 89 and lows in the low to mid 70s at night. Friday, there is a 40% chance of storms both during the day and evening, the weather service said.

That rain risk will continue through Saturday, Saturday night, Sunday night and Monday, with high temperatures continuing to be close to 90, forecasters said.
