Monday is expected to start two days of sunshine and seasonable temperatures this week before rain moves in Wednesday, the National Weather Service said.

After a cool Sunday night in the mid to high 50s, Monday and Tuesday will both see temperatures in the mid to high 70s and calm winds. Then Tuesday night, the weather turns, and showers and storms are likely overnight, the weather service said.

Rain is forecast to continue Wednesday right through the evening, with highs in the mid 70s, forecasters said.

The chance of rain on Thursday was pegged at about 40% but partly sunny conditions were expected to prevail as the day goes on. Thursday night should be clear, with a low of 61, ushering in a sunny clear Friday with a high close to 80.

After a partly cloudy Friday night, there is a 50% chance of showers Saturday with a high near 78 and showers are likely as evening falls. There is a chance for rain Sunday as well with a high near 74, the weather service said.
