After buckets of rain fell Saturday on Long Island, Sunday looks be mostly sunny and, perhaps, start a run of dry days that will last through the coming workweek.

The National Weather Service said Saturday the high temperature during the day Sunday will be near 46 degrees with a west wind of 8 to 13 mph. Sunday night is expected to be party cloudy with a low around 33.

From Monday through Friday, the weather service said, the daytime skies will range from partly sunny to straight-out sunny, with high temperatures ranging from 44 degrees Monday to 38 degrees Thursday.

The dry times may end, however, with the start of next weekend when there is a 30 percent chance of rain Saturday.
